John Milton Mckeiver, 57, York, has been charged following the incident at a Monroe Street school bus stop on Monday.
Police were able to identify Mckeiver thanks to social media posts by parents and community members.
Witnesses assisted investigators in locating him late on Tuesday afternoon.
“We want to assure the public that we take any threat against a child as a top priority, and will act with lightning speed to ensure the safety of our youth and hold those endangering them accountable under the law,” police said in a statement.
Mckeiver has been charged with the following:
- M2 Indecent Exposure
- M3 Open Lewdness
- M3 Disorder Conduct Hazardous or Physical Offense
He was held in York County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.
